SAFETY SUPERVISOR

Waylon Transport is absolutely committed to a safe and efficient operation, and has installed a comprehensive Safety Awareness Program to accomplish this goal. Waylon Transport carries a full line of cargo, workers' compensation, and auto liability insurance which meets or exceeds all Department of Transportation requirements. Waylon's driver training, drug testing procedures, and other special programs enhance the effectiveness of our Accident Prevention program.

Waylon drivers attend meetings which cover Safety Procedures and keeps drivers informed of customer needs and requirements, as well as changes in the industry.

Waylon safely ships hundreds of Hazardous Materials loads each month. The shipment of Hazardous Materials has become an ever-increasing and ever changing concern. Waylon Transport has a Hazardous Materials training course for all its drivers to keep them informed of these changes.

With our increased demands in the Safety Environment, the Safety Supervisor has at least three responsibilities. These responsibilities are employee training, provision of personal protective equipment and accident & injury reporting.

• Employee Training - Supervisors are responsible for ensuring that each new employee, whether temporary or permanent, receives appropriate safety training at the start of employment.
• Personal Protective Equipment - It is required that the Supervisor assess the hazards of the work area to determine the type of protective equipment needed and to provide training on its use.
• Accident and Injury Reporting - It is the Supervisor's responsibility to report all accidents or injuries that occur to their employees while at work. Each supervisor must ensure that any employee who is injured while at work completes and signs the Employee's Report of Work-Related Injury Form. Additionally, the supervisor must receive the employee form, Accident Witness Statement Form(if the accident was witnessed by another person), and fill out a corresponding Supervisor's Report of Work-Related Injury Form.
